25-Year Timber Rot and Structural Guarantee
Qualifying Bespoke Tower Clocks are covered for 25 years against timber rot and structural manufacturing defects, subject to the terms below, correct installation and reasonable inspection and care.
1. The guarantee provider
The guarantee is provided by March Oaks Construction Ltd, trading as Bespoke Tower Clocks, in relation to a qualifying turret manufactured and supplied by the company.
2. Guarantee period
The guarantee lasts for 25 years from the original date of supply shown on the invoice. Unless expressly agreed in writing, it applies to the original purchaser and is not automatically transferable.
3. What is covered
Subject to the conditions and exclusions below, the guarantee covers:
- qualifying fungal decay or rot affecting the Accoya or ThermoWood structural turret components; and
- a structural failure caused directly by a defect in our materials selection, joinery or manufacturing workmanship.
4. What is not covered
The 25-year guarantee does not cover clock mechanisms, faces, hands, controls, wiring, lighting, weathervanes, finials, coatings, sealants, lead, copper, fibreglass, fixings supplied by others, supporting building structure, roof coverings or site-installed waterproofing. Those items are subject to the specific warranties or workmanship periods stated in the quotation.
It also excludes damage arising from incorrect installation, inadequate support, building movement, water ingress from the receiving roof, unauthorised alteration, drilled or cut components, impact, storm, fire, flood, vandalism, animals, insects, pollution, salt exposure not disclosed before manufacture, neglect, failure to repair accidental coating damage or use outside the agreed project conditions.
5. Customer responsibilities
The customer must ensure that the tower is installed by competent persons in accordance with the supplied information, that the receiving building and support are suitable, and that accessible parts are inspected at reasonable intervals. Any damage, failed seal, open joint or breach of the protective coating must be reported and repaired promptly.
6. Making a claim
A claim must be made in writing as soon as the issue is discovered and must include the original order or invoice number, installation date, project address, photographs and a clear description of the concern. We may require safe access to inspect the tower before accepting a claim.
7. Our remedy
If a valid claim is accepted, our obligation will be, at our reasonable choice, to repair the affected component, supply a replacement component or replace the qualifying turret structure. Unless expressly stated otherwise, the guarantee does not include scaffolding, cranes, access equipment, removal, reinstallation, making good, roof works, travel outside the agreed service area or consequential losses.
8. Statutory rights
This commercial guarantee is in addition to, and does not remove or reduce, any statutory rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Is inspection or maintenance required?
